EDWARD DE BONO’S DIRECT THINKING TOOLS (DATT) IS COMPOSED OF TEN
THINKING TOOLS DEVISED BY EDWARD DE BONO, THE INVENTOR OF LATERAL
THINKING. THESE ARE SIMPLE TOOLS WHICH WHEN USED EFFECTIVEL CAN BE VERY
POWERFUL. THE TOOLS MAKE YOUR PERFORMANCE MORE DELIBERATE, MORE
STRUCTURED,MORE ORGANISED AND MORE EFFECTIVE. DATT HELPS ONE TO AVOID
WRONG DECISIONS. OUR CURRENT THINKING IS USUALLY NOT WRONG, IT SIMPLY
IS NOT TARGETED AS WELL AS IT COULD BE. STUDIES HAVE PROVEN THAT WHEN
PEOPLE ARE SPECIFICALLY ASKED TO USE DATT THINKING TOOLS THEIR THINKING
DRAMATICALLY IMPROVES. KNOWLEDGE OF THE DATT THINKING TOOLS WILL HELP
PARTICIPANTS TO IMPROVE QUALITY, BECOME TEAM LEADERS AND ACCEPT NEW
RESPONSIBILITIES. IT WILL HELP TO BROADEN THEIR PERCEPTION, TAKE MORE
EFFECTIVE DECISIONS AND INNOVATE IN THE LEAST AMOUNT OF TIME.
